The DEADLINE for ABSTRACT submission is:
June 30^th, 2011

You can file your abstract registration on www.5-cc.com under the link: Abstracts

Authors will be notified of the selection results by email July 15^th and will receive all technical information and presentation instructions prior to the Congress.

Remember that ONLY electronically submitted abstracts will be considered.

Please note that you must be registered to file and to present your abstract at the 5CC in Cannes.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Selected abstracts will be presented as oral presentations during the Abstract-Sessions. (You can underline your presentation with some slides of a PowerPointPresentation or a DIGITAL poster)
2. Abstracts received after the deadline will not be accepted and will therefore not be considered for the program.
3. Abstracts must contain work that has not been previously presented at any national or international meeting before 5CC.
4. Authors will be required to select their preferred type of presentation on their online submission form.
5. Abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the Committee without knowledge of their source.
6. Acceptance or rejection of an abstract will be based on the average grade awarded by the reviewers.
7. The abstract should be presented in such a way that the contribution of the research to advance knowledge can be assessed.
8. The authors’ conclusions should be clearly stated. General statements such as “the significance of these findings will be discussed” will be regarded unfavourably and will generally lead to the exclusion of abstracts.
9. Initials and abbreviations which are not in common use should be avoided unless they are essential.
10. Remember to check spelling and grammar carefully. Your electronically submitted abstract text will be reproduced as submitted.
11. The Committee reserves the right to: 1) select the abstracts relevant to the sessions; 2) decide on the final form of presentation.
12. The Committee will accept one abstract for presentation per presenting author.
13. There shall be max. 3 co-authors.
14. Every presentation should be between 5-7 minutes and 2-3 minutes for discussion and questions.

Abstract CD
We are interested in producing an abstract CD if there are more than 30 registered abstracts. Please confirm on your registration form for abstracts that you agree to publication of your abstracts and your personal data e.g. name, address, clinic, office, university.

Your personal data will be taken from your registration form without any double-checking. When your abstract is on the CD it is quotable and in this form a scientific work.

Speaker disclosure of potential conflicts of interest
The 5CC Scientific Program Committee requires that all presentations be as free of commercial bias as possible and that any information on commercial products or services be based on already generally accepted medical thinking. It is also preferred that generic drug names be used wherever possible and that any presentation referring to unlabelled or research-associated commercial products should disclose this situation to session attendees.

The best abstract in each category will receive a certificate and a financial
prize of € 2,000.
Only registered persons are allowed to file and to present an abstract.
